Platform Safety

How Opinyze protects users, the rewards economy, and the integrity of the platform.

Why Safety Matters Here

Opinyze is a place where real money flows: people fund surveys with deposits, respondents earn credits, and earnings move out to bank accounts. That makes it attractive to bad actors, fraud rings, and people who'd rather game the system than do the work.

We take that seriously. The protections below exist so that honest users get paid quickly and reliably, while attempts to abuse the platform get caught early. This page is the public, plain-language version of how we keep the rewards economy honest.

Identity Verification

We verify every adult user before they can earn or transact:

  • NIN or vNIN required for Nigerian users (and equivalent national ID for users in other supported countries).
  • Age verification. We do not allow under-18 users to earn rewards.
  • Country and region eligibility. Some features only operate in countries where we have payment infrastructure and legal coverage.

Verification protects you (it's much harder for someone to impersonate or hijack your account) and protects the platform (it makes mass fake-account abuse expensive).

Deposit Safety

Money coming into the platform is checked at the source:

  • Verified payment receipts. Web deposits flow through Paystack, Flutterwave, or HabariPay, with transaction references reconciled against the gateway.
  • Spend-only by design. Credits you deposit can be used to fund surveys and pay for in-app features, but they cannot be withdrawn back to your bank. Earnings funded from creator deposits keep their full purchasing power inside the app, but they don't withdraw to your bank. That's how we keep the reward economy honest.
  • Refunds and chargebacks. Every refund and chargeback is tracked and reconciled automatically against the wallet that originally received the deposit.

Earning Safety

When you earn, the platform takes a brief moment to make sure the earning is legitimate:

  • Pending window. Earnings clear through a short pending window (between 0 and 72 hours, depending on the funding source). Some rewards become withdrawable immediately; others wait for the original deposit safety window to clear. This is long enough to detect fraudulent activity, short enough to be fair to honest earners.
  • Quality review. Suspiciously fast responses, low-quality answers, and patterns consistent with automation are flagged for review.
  • Per-response caps. There is a maximum amount any single response can pay, regardless of survey budget, to prevent abuse via inflated rewards.

Most users never notice these protections. They run quietly in the background.

Withdrawal Safety

Money leaving the platform is the highest-stakes step, and it gets the most checks:

  • Bank account verification. Your saved bank accounts are verified through our payment partners before you can use them.
  • Refund debt holds. If your wallet has unresolved refund debt (a rare situation explained in Deposits & Refunds), withdrawals are paused until the debt clears. We never take money out of your bank.
  • Manual review for high-value withdrawals. Larger payouts go through a review step before processing. This usually adds a short delay, not a denial.
  • Velocity limits. Unusually rapid withdrawal patterns trigger a review.

If anything ever holds up your withdrawal, you'll see a clear explanation in the wallet, and you can reach support directly from there.

Account Safety

Behind the scenes, we run continuous checks against the patterns fraud rings tend to exhibit:

  • Device and behavioral signals to detect multi-account farming.
  • Referral graph review so referral bonuses go to real, distinct people.
  • Admin freeze tools and a full audit log so any sensitive action is traceable.
  • Reconciliation jobs that catch any drift between transaction history and wallet balances. If the books ever go out of sync by even one credit, we know about it.

Reporting and Questions

If you ever see something that looks wrong on your account, or you suspect fraud or abuse anywhere on the platform, contact support from the Help section. We investigate every report, and you'll hear back from a real person.

Suggestions for additional protections are welcome too. The system gets better over time because users tell us where the gaps are.
