Complete Your Profile
Walk through onboarding to verify your identity and fill out your demographics so we can match you with the right surveys.
The Onboarding Flow
After creating your account, you'll walk through a 7-step onboarding process. This usually takes a few minutes and covers everything needed to unlock the full platform.
Step 1: Identity Verification
First, you'll verify your identity using your National Identification Number. You can use either your NIN (11-digit number) or vNIN (virtual NIN). This is handled through a secure third-party provider and ensures every user on the platform is a real, unique person.
Your NIN data is encrypted and handled securely. We only confirm your name and date of birth - no biometrics or address history is accessed.
Step 2: Personal Information
Provide your first name, last name, username, gender, and date of birth. Your name must match your NIN record for verification to succeed.
Step 3: Location
Select your region, state, and Local Government Area (LGA). This helps survey creators target respondents in specific locations.
Step 4: Socioeconomic Background
Share your education level, employment status, and income range. These are commonly used demographic filters for survey targeting.
Step 5: Personal Details
Provide your ethnicity, religion, marital status, and children status. These details help match you with surveys studying specific population segments.
Step 6: Lifestyle
Share your household size, work industries, and how you heard about Opinyze.
Step 7: You're All Set
Once everything is complete, you'll land on a confirmation screen and you're ready to start using the platform.
Why This Matters
Your profile directly impacts your experience on Opinyze:
- More survey matches. Creators target respondents by demographics. An incomplete profile means you'll miss surveys you'd otherwise qualify for.
- Higher earnings potential. Niche demographic groups are often in high demand, which means better-paying survey opportunities.
- Platform access. Identity verification is required to take surveys, vote in polls, and earn credits.
Keep your profile up to date. If you move to a new state or change jobs, update your demographics in Settings so your survey matches stay accurate.
